If you've ever played around with wage or income data, you've probably noticed that married men make a lot more money than every other combo of gender and status.

makes sense
- men still make more than women
- married men have more economic pressure so they self select into higher paying jobs as well as push their jobs more for compensation
-there is correlation between staying in marriage and staying hired
(i wonder how that data would look like if unemployment effect is cleared and only the income of employed ppl is taken into account) - does family status (especially for men) correlate with being in workforce?

i doubt it is one factor playing ... as typically in those types of findings ... it is usually people (especially lay people or anybody before doing the analysis) would see/ assume the one factor that is closer to their heart / situation

but yes, i agree this is another factor to look ... it is almost the subcategory (or the previous step) of 'staying in marriage - staying hired', it is getting the marriage as the more attractive mating partner (being one with perspectives) . somehow i doubt about the побогаче - because that would mean that richer men have higher rate of marriage initiations which i am not sure the case... but surely can be checked out if one has interest.

Ещё интересное предложение: женатым не надо устраивать личную жизнь и времени на работу остаётся больше.

Думаю, просто прослойка лузеров выбивается из статистики.
