Case 13-7 (between the lines)
Mar. 1st, 2019 01:07 pmBelow is a shortened translation from German. Please check (a) English and (b) if all pitfalls are firmly covered.
Yes. This is a real letter I write now. This post will be made public after some time. I'll write some explanations in my next post.
Dear director Prof. Dr. N.,
last December our son M. was discharged from the Kxxx. We have received an examination report from 21.01.2019. The very first conversation with Dr. med. H.E. had shown that despite many examinations in Germany the awaited results would be very interesting. The examination report has exceeded all our expectations. I know how valuable your time is but I think it is good to inform you as the Director of the Kxxx about what is written below.
Firstly, it is very difficult to recognize what we had said in the text of the examination report.
[some samples]
M. had checked my letter from 27.11.2018 to Fr. Dr. med. H.E. and he had proposed two important corrections. I am sure we have almost the same opinion about all events. M. is accustomed that his statements are often hard to recognize in reports of Swiss experts and officials but he cannot understand why what is written in the examination report on page 2 in "Disorder-specific medical history" below the phrase "According to M." differs from actual facts so strongly, and why a boring written dispute about a medical diagnosis is presented as an exciting conflict of the father with the school.
My experience in consulting and management shows that almost all misunderstandings can be cleared with logical arguments in a friendly discussion. Not me but my wife hired the lawyers after the K..B-incident. A mother, who unexpectedly sees in her house many policemen and hears from an official that she could not meet her son until his 18th birthday, may feel herself a bit offended.
[an additional example]
My wife has said many times that the examination report must be shown to us before being passed on to other people in order to prevent such obscurities. In the examination report by the Kxxx there is much more information which we cannot assign to facts known to us. We are upset.
Next, I would like to thank the Kxxx for an excellent achievement. On page 8 is written "The diagnosis of an atypical autism was not given by the examination at the Charité Berlin in 2016, but it was described between the lines." This sentence has finally opened my eyes and has explained the sources of the conflict with the Mt. school.
The headmaster had only spoken with my son for five minutes and he had immediately made the right diagnosis. He told me this diagnosis, which was hidden in the report by the Charité Berlin and which was discovered by the Kxxx between the lines. Unfortunately, I did not believe him, so I had said about M. what was written 2 months before by the experts from the Charité Berlin in the report on page 3 under "DIAGNOSES (according to ICD-10)" in the lines.
It is now clear to me why the headmaster had not believed me, and why the K..B had written in the Circular-Decision from 12.07.2018 "... however, due to the parents' refusal in this context any school-psychological examination could not be made, neither in Switzerland nor in Germany".
We were still wrong. Thus I wrote on May 14, 2018 to the headmaster that I do not understand why his diagnosis "autism" should be investigated in a multi-month examination in a day clinic because this diagnosis "contradicts the findings of the experts". I did not get an answer to my letter. On 12.07.2018 the K..B came with the police. Thanks to the examination report of the Kxxx I can finally understand why the foster care was justified with "The K..B can only make further examination, if M. resides in a safe place". The parents cannot read between the lines what interferes with correct examinations.
It is written in the Discussion and Resolution Protocol of the K..B from 13.07.2018: "Dr. Bxxx states that a clean autism examination would take a long time." We thought that the sentence from the Charité Berlin examination report "after extensive diagnostics we were able to exclude autism spectrum disorders" means that no further examinations were necessary. Dr. med. Bxxx did not tell us that we need to read between the lines. Instead, he tried to explain the emergency on examples of the treatment of the diabetes mellitus.
Now we understand why "it was right in his eyes in the sense of child welfare that the school had made a notification and the K..B responded". The examination report of the Kxxx has fully proved the words of Dr. med. Bxxx.
We also worry about other diagnoses that were reported by the school and other Swiss experts. Thus, the report of the school-psychological service of 04.07.2018 states that the "deviations in the perception of reality" require a medical examination. Between the lines in the examination report of the Kxxx we have only found that the video-news about airstrikes in Syria had made on M. a strong impact.
Unfortunately, it is not clear from the examination report of the Kxxx whether we can believe what M. has reported about the day clinic.
We would like to know why the experts of the Charité Berlin hide diagnoses between the lines. Also in the report of the division of NNNN of the SPZ from 30.10.2008 (that the Kxxx did not want to see) is only written: "There has been found .... no evidence of autism". We have already sent our questions to the Charité Berlin.
Due to a legal recommendation, we revoke with this letter the release of confidentiality in regard to the Charité Berlin. We also revoke all other releases of confidentiality we have given to the Kxxx. This is pure formality, but we ask you to confirm the revocation in writing.
Please inform us by the end of March in case the methods of the Kxxx and the innovative treatment of diabetes by Dr. med. Bxxx are protected by copyright.
Yours sincerely,
Vit R
