vit_rAfter my eldest son was taken by force "till his 18th birthday" and on the following day was given back without proper explanations, I had read a lot of documents written by Swiss bureaucrats.
Each document forces you to rise eyebrow in astonishment. Sometimes you feel yourself dumbfounded and must reread the same place many times trying to assemble strange ideas into one plausible construct. But there are some sentences when you simply stop and stare on paper or on the computer screen. You have no ideas, no understanding but only one question "How?!"
I must admit, the version of this question that arises in your head contains words that do not belong to the high literature. After my son had read the protocol of his interrogation, he had repeated such words in three languages he knows and WTF was the most neutral of them.
My answer was simple: "I do not know".
I had seen such deeps of bureaucratic intelligence that I could not imagine beforehand that something like this may exist, but one sentence had taken the first place in this hard competition.
Imagine, four adult [!] women interrogate a primary school child. The boy tries to hold his attention through tears and to avoid suggestive questions. The adult Swiss women write down suitable ideas that prove the sudden extraction of his brother from the family 2 days before summer holidays. Then they sit together and create a text that they call "Anhörungsprotokoll Im Sinne von Art. 447 ZGB und § 51f. EG KESR". / "Interrogation Protocol" [The numbers of the articles are not important.] /
I open this document, read it and see the following sentence:
/ His brother had grown too quick, because of this he was unable to raise himself without help after he fell down. /
I repeat, these were not four years old girls, these were four adult women in official bureaucratic positions. According to the interrogation protocol two of them were certified Swiss law experts, one was a Swiss school teacher and one was a Swiss school director.
I have no concerns about the Swiss future. I know with confidence: it is doomed.

Date: 2020-09-01 07:13 am (UTC)Ну, например, видишь, что человек верит в то, что травля в школе исчезнет, если не говорить это слово вслух. Прикидываешь, в каком возрасте дети закрывают глаза ладонями и думают, что спрятались. Берёшь поправку, относишься соответственно.
Можно, конечно, представлять, что войдя в здание к бюрократам попал на остров к папуасам, потому что случаи искажённого восприятия в литературе обычно встречаются как раз на примере этнографических описаний. Идёшь по двадцать первому веку, а посреди города остров с дикарями.
Но это уже не так эффективно, потому что может возникнуть желание дать в морду.

Date: 2020-09-01 08:01 am (UTC)А говорить то, что приходит в голову, конечно, приятно, однако бесполезно. Просто не понимают. Говоришь швейцарцам: "Ну это же п-ц!" Они отвечают: "Да, есть проблемы. Но это наши традиции."
Страна, вляпавшаяся в столетнее дерьмо, украдкой зажимающая нос, но не вылезающая оттуда просто потому, что деды и прадеды тоже по дерьму ходили. (И полностью игнорируя тот факт, что те по горной дороге за лошадью, а эти по современному автобану на Порше.)
