Решил оставить на память немного печальных цитат про текущее положение на восточном фронте.

Соглашения о разоружении и мирном процессе по своей природе абсурдны. Ведь их подписывают те, кто пришел с оружием и войной. Для России мнимое перемирие является выжиданием более подходящего момента, чтобы продвинуть свой капитуляционный мир — то ли по добровольному согласию украинской власти, то ли под давлением международного сообщества. А регулярные обстрелы вдоль линии размежевания направлены не на дальнейшую оккупацию, а на истощение украинской армии. Армию нужно применять, согласно задачам войны. Если армия приведена в боевую готовность, если армия сидит в окопах, если армию обстреливают, то армия должна воевать. Кто бывает "на нуле" или возле него, знает — солдат демотивируют не окопы, а лишенное смысла пребывание в них. Что сказать солдату, который спрашивает: "Если за ответ на обстрел — штраф 30 тыс. гривен, то зачем я здесь?".

Putin must invade or subdue Ukraine. He is not yet ready, but the evidence of his preparation is stark... The current combat logistics system has not been properly repaired. The old system of territorial defense meant that much of the brigade support was removed and has not yet been replaced. This is especially so in things like food, fuel and ammunition resupply systems, medical and forward maintenance. The current system is not designed to support a mobile battle in any way. You cannot properly logistically support a battle from an office 400 kilometers away. It does not work.

Put together in new units, they need 3-4 years together to be fully battle capable. Individuals in large numbers joining a unit make the unit weaker, not stronger, as they need extra management time to help them pick up the drills, methods and culture. The Georgians tried this and lost. “What you do not train for in peace does not work in war.”

...Young men without experience and with questionable education are taking command of companies or even higher (deputy battalion commander, battalion executive officer, etc.) ... One adviser even mentioned an example when an officer became a battalion commander in his second year after graduation but without combat experience. This is criminal and someone should go to prison for this act.

Короче говоря, мы верим, что у Путина нет причин начинать войну в Украине. Но, с другой стороны, причин захватывать Крым и влезать в Сирию и Донбасс тоже не было. Если Кремлю надоест играть гибридно и он начнёт современную войну "по всем правилам", то Украина с высокой вероятностью её очень быстро проиграет.

Если Путин мобильную наступательную войну не начнёт, то с не меньшей вероятностью страну "гибридно" сдадут политики.
