Это из комментариев под прошлым постом про ужасологию. Я просто лишние слова выкинул.
Ужасолог должен быть не только тупым, но ещё и очень упёртым. Погрызя очередной кусок мозаики Большой Специалист выдал обличительный пост, наехав теперь уже на меня лично. Самое смешное, там не скопирован текст, а поставлен скриншот из поста Ужаса, причём скриншот этот включает картинку с визуализацией температуры на высоте 10 hPa.
Так тонко в наше время уже не троллят. Человек на самом деле не понимает, как убого и жалко выглядит. Впрочем, на это не стоило обращать внимания, если бы я всё равно не собирался написать то, что стоит ниже.
Чтобы понять, как чувствует себя Ужас, можно представить, что карапуз подходит к начальнику строительства и заявляет:
- Дядя! Ты дебил! Вторая левая обмотка верхнего магнита шестого блока синхрофазотрона должна быть подключена с другой полярностью!
Если начальник сделает глупость, то есть, сразу не пошлёт карапуза на три буквы, а начнёт разбираться, то после долгих и упорных пререканий, естественно полных хамства и насмешек, ему наконец откроется, что карапуз не имеет представления о существовании электронов.
Ещё подобный опыт можно получить, заведя женский ник и зайдя в какой-нибудь программистский форум на обсуждение какого-нибудь банального вопроса. Это позволяет выработать не только терпение и смирение, но и остальные качества из букета христианских добродетелей.
Короче, рекомендую сразу посылать.
Однако, на данном примере интересно рассмотреть один из важнейших аспектов Теории Антропогенного Потепления, а именно Ловушку Собственной Гениальности.
Итак, ужасолугу ужасно понравилась следующая фраза.
Допустим, внезапно, в Райскую Долину спускается из Космоса удар минус сто десять.
Попробуем подробно и по шагам разобраться с обмотками синхрофазотрона. Но сначала немного психологии.
Не смотря, что издали это может выглядеть иначе, заслужить у меня звание идиота очень сложно.
Повторю ещё раз:
Задача образования - научиться взаимодействовать с миром. Там, где гуманитарий скажет "Идиот! Земля - шар!", физик спросит "А почему Вы думаете, что она плоская?"
Дальше я перейду на английский. Не для того, чтобы выпендриться, просто это пойдёт в другое место, а мне лень потом себя переводить. Даже если это черновик.
The Pitfall of Self-Brilliance
Eight out ten people say that they are more clever than the average human level. The psychological studies do not tell about the reasons of two persons who doubt the own self-brilliance, but we can assume that one of them is affected by depression toughs and self-doubts in a way that demand psychological or psychiatric intervention.
This means, only one of ten has an adequate understanding of his own mental abilities but this is probably the case of underestimation or dishonesty.
Note, I switch to men in my description. Women with normal hormonal level have their own typical strengths and weaknesses but the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance is common for species with a high testosterone level. Women err in another ways and a manipulation artist or a trickster must understand them. I will not describe here the differences and the readjustment of strategies. This is really simple if you know the basics of gender specific psychological differences.
Simply speaking we add to the self-brilliance an urge to fight. Note, in the contrary of teaching the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance does not contain sadistic components and I mean a defensive fight that protects the understanding of the world. (Women usually protect "common opinions" implanted by their environment or authorities, men protect own believes that they present as common objective knowledge.)
The building material of the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance is the piecewise-correct knowledge.
I will not describe here the boring explanations of the philosophy of science and the psychology of thinking. Let's say, we have pieces of paper with some statements and we rearrange them to make a story. These pieces represent obviously correct facts or logically correct reasoning steps.
Only the mathematics could build the whole story with such pieces because it is fully artificial. If the story contains gaps but is very interesting, it is called as an unsolved problem in mathematics and the people who could find the missing pieces or the pieces that prove that the whole story is wrong will be praised as the geniuses.
The real world problems are more complicated because it is impossible to avoid imprecise measurements, wrong experimental data, missed parts of knowledge about the measurements process, human made errors and other incorrect facts.
The reasoning steps could also be incomplete or incorrect because almost all real processes may be affected by unexpected influences and the nature of real processes is not precise but is based on probabilities. Additionally, the complexity of real systems exceeds our available analytical and computational resources.
This means, the reasoning about the processes in the real world is inevitably based on assumptions.
Let's say, we cannot simply rearrange the pieces of paper that we have got from experimental measurements, scientific papers, computational modeling, schoolbooks and university lectures. The gaps are inevitably. Some pieces must be thrown out because they do not pass into the story. (We call them "wrong data" or "wrong way of thinking".) Some pieces must be rewritten because we find errors in the reasoning or the presented facts. (We call this "correction" however this could be also the "error injection".) Other pieces may remain intact because they perfectly pass in the story we are intended to make.
Note, I use the word "story" instead of such words as "theory" or "model". We consider the context of a friendly discussion and not a war of scientific schools and movements.
Our current representation contains many pieces of paper that cover some plane. Some pieces are connected in the way that allows to read them together, some pieces are divided by big gaps. We claim that all pieces are correct and we feel that they represent a story.
This is the usual state of human knowledge. Professionals with deep understanding of the problem domain have many connected pieces and small gaps. Laymen on an unfamiliar knowledge field have big gaps and small number of (correct) pieces.
Please remember, we are humans. This means all pieces are emotionally loaded. Some of them are too dear in the way we cannot get rid of them despite the fact that we know that they are logically or factually incorrect. We get an emotional damage if we throw them out of our story. This is the common behavior affecting the obsolete knowledge and the useless skills we get at school. The naive state of the young age at the time of implanting and the cementing effect of teachers' reward make such mental defects very hard to correct.
Unfortunately, we live in the age of specialization. This means most knowledge in fields outside our area of work or our hobbies is the knowledge we got at school. As rule such knowledge is at least incomplete and in many cases obsolete or wrong.
The playground is ready. The force that builds the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance is a conflict of internal world models.
Imagine, the person under question meets another person who tells the story that contradicts the piecewise-correct knowledge.
One of ten starts to ask questions to find the true behind the unusual conclusions, eight from ten would decide, that they deal with an idiot who does not understand simple things.
First attempt would be the comparison of obviously true facts.
Note, emotional truthfulness does not mean scientific correctness. Some facts may be incompatible with obsolete school-time knowledge. Some logical mistakes may be supported by real life experiences. This means, the dear wrong facts will be defended from any attacks of progress results. The Pitfall of Self-Brilliance produces high quality incomprehension.
The most interesting discussion type emerges when the wrong knowledge is on the basic level and both sides do not mention it because they consider the facts obvious.
Let's say, the first attempt to teach idiot about the right and wrong has failed and the comparison of basic facts did not show significant difference. The second attempt includes the comparison of obvious reasoning steps.
The discussions on this level usually turns emotional because nobody likes to explain own ways of thinking in details. The feeling of self-brilliance blinds the ability to recognize own logical errors. This is the state when the person in question starts to move the theme of the discussion to personal mental disabilities of his opponent. The Pitfall of Self-Brilliance produces a perfect defensive blaming-wall.
Most clashes of incompatible stories end on this level. The pleasure to prove opponent's dumbness is lucrative in such extent that people do not notice that this triumph exist only in their imagination.
Only a small fraction of discussions reaches the moment when all existing pieces are compared, corrected and matched. This means the remaining difference in the base of the defended story hides in gaps between the compared pieces. You must have good knowledge in psychology and rich experience in conflict management to lead your opponent to this level.
One of ten persons will open himself for new knowledge. This is the Way of Engineering and it is almost forgotten now.
The usual reaction will be the full-fledged Pitfall of Self-Brilliance.
The obvious effect of the feeling of self-brilliance is the rejection of unknown facts and unusual conclusions. But this is only a small part of the automatic defensive mechanisms. The person caught in the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance starts to fill the gaps with rubbish.
Sometimes these are funny but pretty reasonable ideas and assumptions. Sometimes the errors in self-made pieces are obvious to the extent that person itself would be ashamed of their own dumbness in case the blinding mechanisms of self-brilliance defense would be switched off.
The logic they would use would be also the most primitive one. They do not have knowledge or time to build reasonable complex models that consider many parameters. All nontrivial influences and effects will be automatically forgotten. Rocket science will be encountered with the primary school mathematics.
Note, such people are not dumb by themselves. They may be pretty bright and they may be good experts in other areas. They are simply caught in the powerful Pitfall of Self-Brilliance.
Long story short, the Anthropogenic Climate Change Theory is the area where you can meet a lot of people caught in the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance. As rule, nobody of them understands correctly simply things such as the meaning of temperature or the structure of the atmosphere. They do not have knowledge in chaotic processes and computation models. They are not very good at mathematics and economics. However, they feel that the humanity does something wrong and it will be punished for its sins. They are eager to defend their religious beliefs.
Unfortunately a lot of climatology scientists do not have better level of understanding. Additionally, the Pitfall of Self-Brilliance is fed with the grant money and the academical benefits. It is impossible to save people who was caught by such strong forces.
Итак, возьмём фразу раздора "Допустим, внезапно, в Райскую Долину спускается из Космоса удар минус сто десять."
"Допустим" и "внезапно" можно отбросить. Также как и "Райскую Долину", потому что она привязана к "допустим".
Остаётся следующее: "Из Космоса спускается удар минус сто десять".
Что в этой фразе самое загадочное и непонятное для карапуза? Правильно, слово "температура", которого здесь даже не стоит.
Мы живём в стабильных условиях при давлении в одну атмосферу в достаточно узком интервале колебаний внешней и внутренней температуры. В учебнике про неё что-то такое стояло, что, может быть, и было запомнено, но не дошло до сознания. Между тем, эта физическая величина достаточно интересная и означает немного не то, что дано нам в ощущениях.
С повышением высоты над поверхностью Земли сначла температура интуитивно-понятно понижается. А потом...
А потом -- нет. Откуда и как она начинает снова расти желающие могут попытаться выяснить сами. Причём, в большинстве источников объяснения не то, чтобы совсем верные.
Но тут это неинтересно. Рассмотрим только границы незнания. По ссылке можно посмотреть распределение температуны на высоте 10 hPa. Это стратосфера. Самое дно температурной ямы.
Несложно видеть, потыкав мышкой там и сям, что от покрывшего основную площадь шарика цвета для -50 градусов Цельсия есть отклонения на 30 градусов от тёплых -20 до холодных -80. На одном полюсе полярный день, на другом -- полярная ночь. Соответственно, лампочка-Солнце нагрело стратосферу там, куда светит постоянно, а теневая сторона остыла.
Кто заметил, что холодная тёмно-синяя блямба на 2020-01-10 висит на Северном полюсе несимметрично, тот молодец. Это то, что вызвало некоторые эффекты, упомянутые в прошлом посте про ужасологов. А мы едем дальше.
Итого "минус сто десять" - это не про поверхность. Это ещё минус 30 к самому холодному слою атмосферы.
Объяснение на уронве карапуза: Представим, что Земля покрыта тёплым слоем воздуха, который сберегает тепло поверхности, чтобы оно не ушло в Жуткую Холодину Космоса. (Желающие могут проверить температуру на Луне.) И, вот, этот толстый теплоизолирующий слой прогнулся. Что случится на поверхности?
Ответ этот правильный, но неполный. Кроме очевидных эффектов про тёплое и холодное, которые может предположить любой человек, не совсем забывший школьный курс физики, это охлаждение даёт оптический эффект стратосферных облаков, вызывая фазовый переход с образованием капель и кристаллов льда, химический, потому что облака содержат очень маленькие капли природной азотной и серной кислот, которые начинают через цепь химических реакций уничтожать озон, механический, потому что капли житкости и кристаллы льда резко меняют сцепление потоков на разных высотах, вызывая очень интересные возмущения в движении воздушных масс от стратосферы и до самой поверхности. И так далее.
Короче, рассматриваемая фраза содержит много больше, чем простое предсказание морозов в сорок градусов в Сибири. (Которые туда не пришли, потому что океаны качают тепло с влагой на материк и пока что не остыли, хотя, сибирские снегопады в результате пришли туда, где положено по пескам ходить изнывающим от жажды верблюдам.)
Сейчас был немного раскрыт смысл слова "удар". Осталось только последняя часть "спускается из Космоса".
И это самое обидное для потепленцев. В антропогенной модели, где Земля заключена в хрустальную сферу, нагреваемую лампочкой-Солнцем, причин для ударов холода просто не придумать. Даже неожиданное стратосферное потепление (тоже вызывающее интересные эффекты на поверхности, причём по всему шарику) можно как-то объяснить происходящим на поверхности. Но никакие грешные автовладельцы и безответственные углесжигатели не привязываются к внезапным ударам холода.
Это может быть только действие извене. Причём, имеющее электромагнитную природу. Короче, те гигантские потоки энергии, которые наполняют пространство, и на которые антропогенные потепленцы не обращают внимания, даже если подозревают об их существовании.
В заключение хочу ещё раз повторить: это не про климатологию, на самом деле всё гораздо сложнее. Здесь же просто предпринята попытка объяснить, почему карапузу не стоит сообщать начальнику строительства синхрофазотрона, какие в карапузьем мозгу возникли идеи по поводу случайно услышанной беседы взрослых дядей.

А глава про ловушку собственной гениальности - это только маленькая часть объяснения идеологии социализма. Марксизм-ленинизм в этом аспекте гораздо интереснее климатологии, но его сложнее объяснять.

Причём, специально там добавили совсем немного, основные компоненты возникли естественным путём. Сам антропогенный вклад в потепление (который, естественно, есть, но не так велик и совсем не так ужасен) был бы просто научным фактом, если бы на нём так удачно не совпали бы совершенно разные интересы.
